Now that I have your attention, I'd like to invite you to join me next week, May 15, 8:30 pm at Poets & Pints. If you already regularly attend this cool event, FYI it's starting later than usual this month. If you haven't caught me at a reading yet, now's a good time to check out …
Bridesmaid
That's what I always used to call it when I came this close to winning a contest (as in "always the bridesmaid, never the bride..." So of course I was disappointed to not win the Midwest Independent Publishing Association Award, but hey, at least my book was nominated! I appreciate the recognition.
Bridges Reading at Blue Harbor Center for the Arts, April 18

Reading at SubText Books March 6
I'm delighted to be reading at this gem of a local book store. Last week, I had the pleasure of seeing my former student Raymond Strom there as he read from his debut novel, Northern Lights, published by Simon & Schuster. Highly recommended! Here's a link to my reading -- I hope those of you in …

I'm thrilled that she has chosen the title poem from Sweet Weight for this week's entry. Check it out! I'm honored to be in such good company. http://poeminabox.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

Squares & Rebels, a brand-new LGBT imprint of Handtype Press, plans to bring out two poetry anthologies in the fall of 2012. Our goal is to help foster a sense of community among …
